Mark your Calendar for these upcoming (tentative) dates/events:

As most of you know from our experience with AB-2240 last session, the Hearing dates get changed at a moments notice.  So, when I say "tentative dates", I mean it.  Please mark your calendar for the "tentative date", and if applicable, let your boss know that you will be needing time off to attend the Hearing.  You might also like to let your boss know about the "tentative dates", that way you cover yourself in case there is a change in the schedule, and hopefully the boss will be understanding about your needs.
 
IMPORTANT
 
As always, we need to have you physically present at the upcoming Hearings/Events that take place.  The Legislators need to visually see us.  Please be sure to plan to attend at least one per month from now through September.  I know that this gets costly, but it's a small price to pay to have YOUR LIFE back.  I look forward to seeing ALL of you there.

 
UPDATE
 
WE HAVE COMPLETED THE PATERNITY FRAUD WORKGROUP, AND THE DCSS WILL BE SENDING US THE PROPOSED RECOMENDATIONS THIS WEEK.  I WILL BE SENDING OUT A COPY OF THESE IN MY NEXT CA-CAPF NEWSLETTER.

PATERNITY FRAUD WORKSHOPS WITH DCSS
 
The Department Of Child Support Services (DCSS) has invited one Spokesperson from only a few Organizations to attend this Workshop.  There are 6 Workshops scheduled.  Each Spokesperson is allowed to invite one guest.
If you are interested in being a guest at a Workshop, please contact me, so that I can add your name to my list.  I am sure that there will be times when one of the Organizations (in favor of Anti-Paternity Fraud Legislation) cannot attend the Workshop, or perhaps their guest cannot make it.

As of now, the DCSS is trying to find a new location for the Workshops.  I'll post them when the information is available.
